Okay… so maybe not. But maybe it’s not so impossible. The PlayStation account just teased the following image out on Twitter. Take a look:
I imagine the whole colliding of worlds bit is less of a literal translation of events, and more meant to be taken as a metaphor. In the case of the latter, this tease either suggests that Sony is working on a brand new IP in-house, or that two popular franchise universes are about to collide. So, what/who could it be? It’s a little early for that Uncharted/Last of Us crossover we’re all thinking about, and Kratos doesn’t really pay well with others, so what are we left with? Perhaps a Killzone/Resistance team-up? My obvious pick is a crossover between that Thievius Raccoonus and everyone’s favorite Lombax. Man, that would be awesome!
No word yet on whether the tease pertains to a PS3 title, a PS4 exclusive, or something PS Vita related. I’m sure Sony will break the news soon, so stay tuned for details. Perhaps they’ll introduce the new project with one of those Easter egg-filled live-action trailers they’ve become so good at making.
