The surprise cult phenomenon that swept the Xbox 360 and PS3 is finally headed to PC.
According to publisher Rising Star Games, the PC version of Deadly Premonition will feature exclusive DLC not available on the original 360 version or the recently released PS3 Director’s Cut. The PC version will also feature all of the extra content and improvements that were originally added to the PS3 release.
“Rising Star Games is an extremely community-driven publisher and our vocal fans have been calling for a PC version of this game,” said Rising Star Games COO Martin Defries, explaining why Rising Star put the game on Steam Greenlight instead of simply directly publishing it. “”…Using Steam Greenlight gives those fans the chance to make a difference.”
Like I said in my PS3 review from a few months ago, Deadly Premonition definitely isn’t a game for everybody, but if you’re tired of all the samey, soulless triple A games that the major publishers have churned out this generation, then Deadly Premonition’s low budget, unpolished, but insanely charming take on the survival horror genre might just be the game for you.
If you want to expedite Deadly Premonition’s release on Steam, you can vote for it on Greenlight.
The team behind Deadly Premonition is currently putting the finishing touches on their next game, entitled D4, which is an episodic adventure game being developed exclusively for the Xbox One.
