MLG events are few and far between, but for competition gaming these events help form a large and ever growing gaming community. Head over the www.mlgpro.com this weekend to check out a free stream that will be covering live footage from both Halo 3 and StarCraft 2. Other popular titles covered in the circuit are Super Smash Bros, Tekken 6, and World of Warcraft.
Halo has always been the flagship MLG title, but their is no problem with expanding into new gaming realms. Watching these games played at such a high level is a real treat, and usually leads to some pretty inspired online play from your own couch.
This is also the first MLG tournament to offer StarCraft 2 competitive play, this was greatly appreciated by their massive growing community and looks to help support the growth of MLG in all ways. All those years of StarCraft 1 have really paid off I guess for some of the pros already.
With Halo 3 nearing the end of its competitive life cycle, and Reach around the corner, MLG promises that this league will only grow and become even more balanced and immersive. With the new tools like forge world, and custom game options, MLG will finally be able to customize the game to a whole new level. Not to mention the welcoming of old Halo 2 maps will not hurt as well.
So head over to www.mlgpro.com and check out the live stream, if anything check out the footage on Championship Sunday. Keep in mind, how good would your Halo shot be with $25,000 on the line!
Below is a montage from MLG pro team STR8 Rippin, its shows some great production value, enjoy!
