What can you say about a video game based on the infamous Blackwater Security group? It has a villain named General Limbano and you go up against him with your four man team.
The owner of the game is Erik Prince who was a former NAVY SEAL. He teamed up with Zombie Studios and publisher 505 Games to whip up this game that isn’t a gore fest at all but just a team game where Blackwater operatives shoot it out with their protagonists and fans of this kind of stuff will get to see the inside of a what the former Blackwater Security was like. It’s a shooter game where the player takes on the role of a private military contractor.
The game is more designed as a competitive shoot em’ up instead of a wild go for broke bloodbath. No civilians get iced in this game although it’s reported some of the producers and programmers. So the game gets a Teen rating. The producers wanted a larger audience so without a tsunami of violence and profanity, the game fits in that area that everyone can just about team up for.
The designers knew they were walking on eggshells as earlier games that dealt with military operatives in sensitive political situations either got banned, canned, or unmanned. So now Blackwater and Zombie Studios and 505 Games has taken the plunge and provide a risky new twist to where wise programmers feared to tread.
The game is due out on October 25, 2011 and is designed with Microsoft Corp.’s Kinect for Xbox 360. So get ready for action and adventure in fictional North Africa and hopefully the game won’t get banned.
