Heads up RTS fans, Blizzard has finally graced us with fresh details and information for the StarCraft II expansion, Heart of the Swarm. Blizzard has been quite successful at keeping information dissemination to a minimum level after they released the great StarCraft II last year, which marked the start of the eager wait for the game’s next expansion. Not much has been said about the expansion in recent months, last I heard was at l way back in last year’s BlizzCon when blizzard developers spilled out information with a possible bunker infesting Zerg unit. Before that, we already knew that the expansion would be focusing more on the story of the Zerg race and Kerrigan’s demise (like the title didn’t iterate that enough). Blizzard did say that they will not be messing up with the unit build orders and structures like how they did with the Broodwar expansion, but they did leave out the topic of abilities in blank.
Now, Blizzard seems to have gone with that little slip from months back and have posted this Image in their Official Facebook Page accompanied with this message:
Offering a unique look at what’s to come in StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, this silhouette teases a new, mysterious Terran unit. But what could it be?
Seems to be a little “Who is that Pokemon?” action going on here. However, this does not seem anything close to the bunker infesting Zerg unit the Blizzard developers showed last year. Blizzard seems to be easing into a big announcement this coming BlizzCon 2011 at Anaheim, which is to be held on October 21 and 22.
A lot of fans are throwing their shots at figuring out what this thing really is and I think it is a smaller and more affordable Thor — just my humble guess, so what do you guys think?

Amusingly and sadly for ActiZard, they picked the worst time to attempt to generate enthusiasm for their newly revamped franchise. With some huge titles nearly in stores, no one really cares about a game that’s probably 2 years away still, at best (knowing Blizzard). Fail.

People will always be excited for any Blizzard franchise no matter how far away a release is. Diablo 3 is proof of that.
