Archos aims to bring fun and excitement to the whole family with their upcoming 13.3-Inch FamilyPad tablet which is expected to hit the stores next month. The device is designed to bring the family together with its 10 point multi touch screen that allows up to 4 people to swipe on its touchscreen simultaneously. This should be great for playing digital board games or watching a video clip together.

The large screen may not be the most convenient device to carry around but it sure does fit fine inside your home. You can use this as a display in any room in your home. You can also configure multiple email accounts in it for use with anyone in your family.
There are some games pre-installed in this device so that you can immediately test it out with your family. If you love playing chess, monopoly or any of the other popular digital board games then you might want to get this device.
We’ve seen tablets of this size being sold in the market recently such as the Toshiba Excite 13 which came with better specifications and flopped at stores. Archos seems to want to take a crack at the large screen tablet market by releasing the FamilyPad.
The Archos FamilyPad will launch first in the UK next month with a suggested retail price of £274.99 or the equivalent of $438. US based customers might have to wait a little bit longer to get this as no definite schedule is planned as of this writing.
