Do you like Company of Heroes? If you do, you should publicly declare your love for Relic Entertainment’s RTS on Facebook, as doing so will get you a free invite into Company of Heroes 2’s beta test.
If you want to be one of the first people to try Relic’s highly anticipated sequel, all you have to do is “Like” the official Company of Heroes Facebook page. Once you do, you’ll be given an access key for the game’s next round of beta tests. You’ll need a Steam account in order to download the beta, which allows players early access to the game’s competitive and co-op multiplayer modes.
The original Company of Heroes remains one of the most critically acclaimed PC games of the last ten years; the game earned multiple Game of the Year awards back in 2006, and has since gone on to sell over 4 million copies. Company of Heroes 2 moves the series’ setting over to the Eastern front, and will feature a dynamic weather system that will require players’ to alter their strategies based on the current weather conditions.
Company of Heroes 2 will be released on June 25th. CoH2 will be the first game in the series published by Sega, who acquired Relic Entertainment and the rights to the Company of Heroes franchise during THQ’s bankruptcy auction earlier this year.
